- With a doctorate from an APA, CPA or PCSAS accredited program, or a substantially equivalent one, internship hours beyond 1,750 and certified practicum hours may count toward the postdoctoral hours (22 TAC § 463.11(b)). Hours after the degree in an exempt setting, while licensed in another jurisdiction, or as a psychological associate or school psychologist in Texas, under a licensed psychologist, may substitute for the PLP hours (22 TAC § 463.11(a)(3)). Accrue does not apply these substitutions.
