Get started and set up your record
Choose your path
Sign in on iPhone or at the web app with the same Accrue account. During setup, enter the state, profession, program, training stage, and dates that apply to you. Leave unknown details unset; do not guess at enrollment, placement approval, registration, or completion.
Review the board and program ledgers Accrue proposes. A ledger is one set of requirements applied to your record. One entry can appear in several ledgers, but those totals represent separate requirements and should not be added together. A placeholder means verified figures are unavailable for that track. Any targets you enter yourself remain your figures and are marked unverified; do not fill a missing target by guessing. An inactive ledger stays in your record but is not included in active progress views.
Change path answers in Settings → Your path. If a change affects existing ledgers, review the proposed transition before saving. Accrue keeps records attached to their history; hours do not silently carry from one training phase or ledger into another.
Add sites and supervisors
Add each work site with its setting, employment status, and accurate start and end dates; its address is optional. Add supervisors with the credential and license number a form needs, role, linked site, and applicable dates. Log hours offers only sites open on the activity date and supervisors linked to that site. Correct a date or relationship on the existing record instead of making a duplicate.
Use the supervisor who conducted the supervision. The link can affect a ledger's supervision units and determines which supervisor appears on a weekly summary. Confirm names and credentials before preparing a form. For detailed entry steps, see Log, edit, and time hours.
Find your way around
On iPhone, Home, Hours, Dashboard, and Tasks are the four tabs. The plus button on Home or Hours opens Log hours or Start a session. Open Settings from the gear beside the Home greeting. Tap a ledger card to see its progress and sources; open an entry in Hours to see how each active ledger classified it.
In the browser, the same main pages appear in a sidebar, with separate links for Sites and supervisors, Weekly summaries, and Export and forms. The account menu and Settings are at the bottom. Press L to log hours, T to start a session, or / or ⌘K to search and open commands. Controls differ between iPhone and web; follow the labels on the screen you are using.
Bring in earlier experience
If you have dated entries in a spreadsheet, use the Accrue CSV template in Reports and signatures and review each imported row. If your prior records are not available as individual entries, a ledger may offer an opening balance: category totals and an “as of” date carried from records you can support. Do not enter a guessed amount or count the same time both as entries and as a balance.
An opening balance does not create dated entries, supervised weeks, site assignments, or signatures. If a rule limits prior experience, the editor applies that limit. Date-range reports include entries in that range rather than adding a balance to an arbitrary span. See Opening balances and progress for how balances appear in a ledger.
