Tasks and reminders
What appears in Tasks
Tasks can come from selected program or board packs, from a site or supervisor relationship, or from reminders you add. Open a task to read its steps, source, due-date explanation, and linked setting before acting. Dates may depend on a training stage, term, placement, or relationship start date. If Accrue does not know enough to calculate a date, the task may remain undated; add accurate setup details instead of guessing.
Complete, defer, or dismiss
Mark a task complete after doing it. Recurring tasks return on the selected or source-defined schedule; completing one occurrence does not complete future occurrences. If a task does not apply, dismiss it when that option is offered. The app remembers the dismissal so a selected pack does not simply add it again. Review source-based tasks before dismissing them, especially if they are marked as blocking hours.
If a task date looks wrong, open its explanation and check the stage, term, site, or supervisor dates used to calculate it. Correct the underlying path or relationship when it is inaccurate; do not assume the task itself changes a board or school deadline.
Reminders are prompts
On iPhone, Accrue can schedule a local notification for a dated task if you enable notifications. Manage notification permission in iOS Settings. A reminder does not contact your supervisor, submit a form, or confirm that an outside party received your work.
Tasks do not replace records
Completing a task does not add hours. Log activities separately in Hours and keep copies of submissions or signed forms your program asks you to retain. A task list helps organize work; its checkmark is not proof of approval, submission, or acceptance. For recording work and interpreting ledger results, see Log, edit, and time hours and Understand progress and supervision.
