Log, edit, and time hours
Log a completed activity
Open Log hours with the plus button; in the browser, you can also press L. Enter the date the activity happened, its type, and its actual duration. Depending on the activity and ledger, Accrue may also ask for a client unit, age group, modality, site, or supervisor. Use Notes only for your own non-clinical reminder.
Choose the site where the work occurred. Sites are offered only for dates within their recorded active period. Link the supervisor to that site before logging. For supervision, select the person who conducted it; a supervision entry without a supervisor can be saved, but may not provide a required unit or signer.
Class time is the exception: choose the class activity and leave Site as No site. If you have set a course schedule and an active program ledger that counts class time, Accrue can create due meetings as the term proceeds; check the course days, term dates, and meeting length. Otherwise, record the actual date and duration. A program ledger may count class time if its rules say so; another ledger may read the same entry differently. See Understand progress and supervision.
Use the session timer
Choose Start a session, confirm the activity details and planned length, then start the clock. Recent details may be prefilled. When work ends, choose End and log. If the clock reaches the planned length, the session uses that length. If you end early, Accrue rounds elapsed time to the duration step in Settings → Logging. A failed save leaves the timer running so the time is not discarded.
The timer has no pause or break control. End the session for a break and log only the time actually worked, or use Log hours to enter the actual duration. Do not count an unworked break. On iPhone the timer may appear as a Live Activity and alert; on web it stays in a session bar.
Edit or delete a saved entry
Open the entry in Hours and choose More → Edit or Delete. An edit changes the source record that every ledger and report reads. Deleting removes its minutes from those views and cannot be undone from the entry screen. Correct an inaccurate date, activity, duration, site, supervisor, or client detail; do not change an accurate record just to make a total move.
Before saving
- Use the activity date and actual work duration.
- Choose a site active on that date and the supervisor linked to it, when applicable.
- Check client unit, age, and modality if requested by the entry.
- Read the per-ledger preview as a classification aid. The complete ledger report shows gates, limits, and source details.
