Customize activities and logging settings
These settings shape what Log hours offers and how weeks are grouped. Find them in Settings, under Logging and App.
Edit the activity list
Activities lists, in groups, every activity Log hours can offer. Switch one off to take it out of the menus. Hours already logged under it stay as they are. Drag activities to change their order.
Choose Add activity to add your own. Give it a name and choose what it counts as, which tells your ledgers how to read it. To change an activity, open it and choose Edit activity. You can delete an activity only if no hours are logged under it. Otherwise, switch it off.
If your program uses its own activity names, such as Palo Alto University, you can reset the list to that set or back to the standard one. A reset keeps the activities you added and every logged hour.
Choose client and modality options
Clients and modalities sets the choices Log hours asks for on client work: client types (individual, couple, family, group), client age (adult, minor), and modality (in person, video, phone). Switch off what you never use. Keep couple and family on if you work toward an MFT license, because those sessions feed the relational subtotal on MFT ledgers. Boards read the modality from each entry.
Set the first day of the week
Week starts on sets whether your weeks run from Sunday or Monday. Every weekly rule uses it, including supervision checks and weekly summaries. Boards count Sunday to Saturday unless yours says otherwise, so change it only if your board or program counts differently.
Set the duration step
Duration steps sets the increment for lengths you choose yourself: 5, 10, 15, or 30 minutes. The Other length wheel moves in that step, and a session you end early is rounded to it.
Round exported hours
Reported hours changes only how spreadsheet exports show decimal hours. Your saved minutes and your ledgers stay exact. See Rounding changes the report display.
Set reminders and appearance
Under App, Remind me sends one reminder before each task with a date, and How far ahead sets whether it arrives 24, 48, or 72 hours early. Appearance follows your iPhone, or stays light or dark.
